Q: can sbx40 maintenance spray be used bicycle chains?
A: yes, sbx40 is safe to use on your bicycle chain and is great for displacing water after washing/cleaning. Although, we recommend using maxilla drivetrain cleaner and silverback chain lube for more targeted lubrication on your bicycle, as these products are specifically designed for your bike.

Q: can I use sbx40 as a general maintenance spray?
A: yes, sbx40 can be used on a wide range of surfaces and in different industries such as automotive, home and garden.

Q: can I use sbx40 on rubber?
A: sbx40 has been tested on various surfaces and materials with fantastic results. Although sbx40 can be used on a variety of surfaces we recommend testing in a small area before larger application. Certain types of rubber will swell with prolonged immersion in sbx40.

Q: can I use sbx40 on plastic?
A: yes, sbx40 has been tested on a wide range of plastics such as polyethylene , formica , epoxy , delrin , polypropylene , acrylic , vinylteflon, and polyesterwith no visible effects. We do advise to test on small areas before applying to larger areas.

Q: can I use sbx40 on my mudguards ?
A: yes, sbx40 is perfect for spraying under mudguards whether it be on your mountain bike or motorbike. Its high and rich oil content helps prevent sticky/tacky mud from sticking to the underside of your mudguards so won’t clog up and will keep the weight of your bike to a minimum.
